We expect our owners to be hands-on owner operators. If you choose to invest in a Smokin' Okies BBQ franchise, you must be a full-time operator or you will be required to have a full-time Manager operating the business for you. This full-time Manager must have completed the company's training program and signed the Non-Compete and Non-Disclosure Agreement. We grant individual locations for qualified candidates. We are able to grant multiple locations for exceptional performers. We want franchisees that have great people skills, management savvy and are extremely enthusiastic about the Southern culture of authentic BBQ. Multiple location operators may benefit from shared operating expenses that may have an impact on overhead. In some cases, overhead may be reduced for each location and in turn reduces the owner's risk to his/her investment, and may increase profitability. We also offer a reduced franchise fee for opening subsequent stores. Smokin' Okies BBQ is completely dedicated to assisting you with your success. Our on-going training will teach you how to find and open your location, attract and retain the right staff, how to market yourself in your area, and how to provide exceptional customer service. We will continue to support our franchisees right through their contract with us - our franchisees will have exclusive access to all of our business developments. The franchise fee for the retail outlet is $25,000. The ongoing royalty is 6% and the amount that you are required to spend on advertising is 2% of gross sales.
